Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Ziber Team account. Even if someone knows your password, they can't log in without access to your phone. Setting it up takes about two minutes.

Before you start

Make sure you have an authenticator app installed on your phone. Don't have one yet? Read our guide on which authenticator app to use first.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Account settings. In the top right of Ziber Team, click your profile photo or initials and choose Account settings.
  2. Go to the Security tab. Here you'll find the option to enable two-factor authentication.
  3. Click Enable 2FA. Ziber Team displays a QR code on your screen.
  4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. The app adds Ziber Team to your list and starts generating a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code currently shown in your authenticator app. This verification step confirms that the link between your app and Ziber Team works correctly.
  6. Save your recovery codes. After verification, you'll see a set of 10 single-use recovery codes. This is your safety net for when you ever lose access to your phone. Store them in a safe place — they're shown only once. Read our guide on storing recovery codes safely.
  7. Done. Two-factor authentication is now active on your account.

What changes when you log in?

The next time you log in, you first enter your password as usual. Then a second screen appears where you enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. It only takes a few extra seconds. Read more about logging in with 2FA.
