Logging in with a recovery code
Lost your phone, is it broken, or do you not have access to your authenticator app for another reason? Then you can log in with one of your recovery codes.
Step-by-step: logging in with a recovery code
- Enter your email address and password on the Ziber Team login page, as usual.
- On the verification screen, click Use recovery code. This is the link below the input field for the 6-digit code.
- Enter one of your 10-digit recovery codes. These are the codes you saved when you set up 2FA.
- Click Verify. You're now logged in.
After logging in
Each recovery code can be used only once. After use, that code is spent. Depending on your situation, it's wise to take action right away:
- Do you have access to your phone again? Then you don't need to do anything. Next time you log in, just use the code from your authenticator app as usual.
- Want to switch to a new phone? Read Disable 2FA or switch devices to move 2FA over safely.
- Running out of codes? Generate a new set via Regenerating recovery codes.
Out of recovery codes?
If you've used all your recovery codes and no longer have access to your authenticator app, contact Ziber support. We'll help you further, but keep in mind that we have to verify your identity first to protect your account.
