In the 'design' section of Links & Menus you determine the design of the menus. During setup you can see in the example (left) how the menu is displayed on the website. You can navigate in the menu to display the mouseover and any submenus.
You can choose from a number of standard fonts and all Google Fonts for the drop-down menus. The font applies to both levels of the drop-down menus.
Width: Set a fixed width (pixels) or choose automatic. With 'auto' the width is automatically adjusted to the longest button text in the drop-down menu. This is useful when the user of the website himself adds buttons in the menus.
Height: The height of the button in pixels.
Outline: The line that goes around the entire menu. In the input field you enter the thickness in pixels (0 means no line), with the block behind it you can set the color.
Button line: The line between the items in the menu. In the input field you enter the thickness in pixels (0 means no line), with the block behind it you can set the color.
Text Indent: The margin in pixels in the menu button (left), which determines where the text begins.
Font Size: The size of the text (body font) in pixels.
Button Text Alignment: Left-aligned or centered the text.
Menu button and Mouseover button
You can adjust the style of the buttons in the 'menu button' and the 'mouseover button' settings.
If you upload an image, it will be shown with every button. The image starts at the top left and does not repeat. So make sure the image is big enough. For uploading the image you can choose JPG, PNG and GIF. Transparency in the image is also supported.
When a submenu is linked to a button (level 2), the button on the right shows an image. The image always has a 1:1 ratio. In other words, if the button height is 50 pixels, the fold-out image will be 50 x 50 pixels. For uploading the image you can choose JPG, PNG and GIF. Transparency in the image is also supported.
By default, the submenus (level 2) have the settings of level 1. If you want to design the submenu differently, you can choose 'Custom settings'.
The menu then looks like this:
