In the intro text of the newsletter you can link to a URL or a mailto link (sending an e-mail to a specific e-mail address). When adding or changing a newsletter, click on the 'link' icon on the right-hand side. You will then be given the choice whether you want to make a link to another URL (NOTE: this can also be a link within your own website, for example to your own page or a download) or an e-mail link.
Link to URL
This option allows you to include a link in the newsletter that points to a different URL. This can be another website, but of course also a URL within your own website. If you want to make a reference to your own page, news item or whatever, it is important that you find out the URL of this page or the news item. You then insert this while inserting the link. If this is a link within your own website, it is nice if you open the link in the same window. If it is a link to another website, it is best to choose the option 'in a new window'.
A properly working link to a URL then looks something like this:
[url|http://www.ziber.nl|Ziber.nl|ext]
Create link to download
It is also possible to link from a newsletter to a specific download you added (in the download area). To do this, first go to the relevant download in the download area. There you can click on the blue 'edit' icon behind each download. Here you will see the 'Location of the download'. This is the URL of this download (not including the domain name of your website, by the way). The URL of a download looks something like this:
/content/17200/download/clnt/24931_Sitehand_Aanvraag.pdf
When linking to a download, it is always advisable to open it in a new window, so that the website itself always remains open behind the download.
A working link to a download will eventually look something like this:
[url|http://www.ziber.nl/content/17200/download/clnt/24931_Sitehand_Aanvraag.pdf|Sitehand aanvraag|ext]
Create mailto link
You can therefore also choose to link to a specific e-mail address, so that visitors to your website can send an e-mail to your own e-mail address, for example. Here you can enter the e-mail address to which the e-mail can be sent. And of course you can indicate what the final link should be (for example; mail to support@ziber.nl).
A working mailto link will eventually look something like this:
[url|mailto:support@ziber.nl|mail naar support@ziber.nl]
