To create pages in which you want to place a lot of text, it is useful to prepare your texts in a 'word processing program' such as Microsoft Word or Apple Pages. First, you can easily correct spelling and style errors here. Another advantage of preparing in a text program is that the texts can be saved 'offline'. Gnap is an online tool, which works with a security - which ensures that you are automatically logged out after a certain time. It is possible that you are busy filling a page and that you have a time-out after clicking on 'save changes' (and you have lost all texts). To prevent this, preparing texts can be useful.
You can then copy and paste the prepared text into the pages of your website.
Paste into your pages
When you copy/cut a piece of text and then paste it into a page of your website, the system will remove some formatting settings. Most of the formatting you copy and paste is automatically included. Among which:
- All headings (1, 2 and 3)
- Bold, italic and underlined text (b, i and u)
- Numbered and unnumbered lists (ol, ul)
- Alignment of the texts (left, right or centered)
All other formatting, such as special fonts or colors, are not included. Your designer has set this up for you. If you want to make changes to this, please contact your designer.
