Do you want to link your domain name that you have registered with an external provider to your website at Ziber? Then you will need to forward the domain name to Ziber by changing the DNS (Domain Name System) settings.
Set DNS
When your Ziber website is ready and allowed online on your own domain name, you can make the necessary settings at your provider. The reference from the provider to your Ziber website goes through the so-called 'DNS'. With most providers you can make this setting yourself from a kind of 'control panel' or 'service desk' (just what the provider calls it).
TIP: choose a package without '(web) hosting' from your provider, this is included in your Ziber subscription.
The following DNS settings must be made at the provider where your domain name is registered:

[productnaam] must be adapted to the Ziber product you use (for example sitehand.ziber.nl. or webbly.ziber.nl. )
Note: With the last record, the TXT record, it is arranged that when your Ziber website sends an e-mail in response to a completed form, that e-mail also arrives and is not seen as SPAM. If necessary, inquire with us and your own system administrator for more information about the possible options of this so-called Spoofing (SPF) record.
Is your website also accessible without 'www'?
Do you want your website to be accessible without 'www' in front of your domain name? Then you can set the so-called ' root ' or @ A record in the DNS, at the provider where you have registered the domain name. Depending on the website product you are using you can either root or @ A record refer to our ip addresses. Below an overview:
PLEASE NOTE: Do not adjust the record where a * is placed, but rather the record where 'nothing' or '@' is entered. That's the root A record.

Link domain name
When you have set up the DNS for a domain name, the domain name must still be linked to your Ziber site. You can set this in Ziber Team.
