Sign up with Bing webmaster tools

When you register your Ziber website with the Bing webmaster tools, your website will be easier to find with the search engine Bing. This gives you more insight into your own website.

Sign in to Bing Webmaster Tools

With the Bing Webmaster Tools you get information about your own website. For example, what people searched for when they found you. How often you are shown in Bing search results and how often a visitor clicks on your link. But also which keywords best match your website (according to Bing).

Microsoft account

To activate the Bing webmaster tools you need to create an account with Microsoft. The easiest way is to go to www.bing.com and click sign up. Now you can log in to your existing account or create a new one. When you're signed in to Bing, within Bing's search box, search for "Bing webmaster tools."

Add website in webmaster tools and Sitemap.xml

When you are with Bing Webmaster tools, you can add your website by entering your domain name in the space provided. Afterwards, Bing immediately asks to add the Sitemap.xml. With Ziber website this is always your domain name including sitemap.xml (www.yourdomainname.nl/sitemap.xml) by default.

Check owner for this website

To make sure you own this website, ask Bing to check. You can do this by copying and pasting the Meta name into Ziber Team.

Copy and paste meta name and description into Ziber Team

In order for the check by Bing to run smoothly, it is important that you copy and paste the Meta name and description into Ziber Team. To do this, open Ziber Team and go from the main menu to My Sitehand (or any other Ziber product name) and choose 'meta tags. Enter the name and the value (metadiscription) here and click on 'plus'. Then the values will be entered.

Let Bing check

After entering the codes into Ziber Team, return to Bing.com. Now let Bing do the check. When all went well, your website is logged in and you will enter your Bing Dashboard. This gives you various information about your website.
