Maybe your school has just started using the new parent app: Kwieb . What does this mean for you as a parent? And what can you do with this app? We are happy to explain it to you!
Download Kwieb
First of all, it is important that you download the Kwieb app on your mobile phone. Don't know exactly how to do that? Don't worry! You can find a clear explanation here: https://support.ziber.eu/hc/nl/articles/360000075958-Kwieb-app-downloaden-in-de-AppStore-of-GooglePlay . The app also takes up hardly any space on your device.

The Timeline
When you open the Kwieb app, you will immediately be taken to the timeline. Here you can see all recent messages, photos, activities and notifications that are relevant to you at a glance. The timeline is personally tailored to your family situation, so that you only see information about your own child(ren). New updates are automatically displayed at the top, so that you are always immediately informed of what is happening at school.
Above each item you will see a child indicator: this is a round avatar with the profile picture or monster image of your child. This way you can immediately recognize who the message is intended for. Do you have multiple children at school? Then you can easily set the child filter at the top right of the app to temporarily only see messages about one specific child. This makes the timeline extra clear!
Posts and comments
Teachers can send messages to parents/guardians via Kwieb. This can be at the level of your child, the group or even the entire school. Photos, videos and files can also be added to messages. You can respond to a message or give it a like. This makes communication between school and parents quick and easy.
Topics (chat function)
The Topics chat function allows you to easily communicate with the school. A Topic can be started by the school, but also by you as a parent. You then choose at least one team member of the school as a conversation partner. It is not possible to chat directly with other parents. All messages remain within a safe and clear conversation. You will receive a notification as soon as a new message is posted in a Topic.
Secure photo albums
In Kwieb, photos from the classroom or school are shared in a safe, shielded environment. Only parents for whom the photos are intended can view them. This can be set per student, per class or for all parents of the school.
Agenda and activities (including registration)
In the app you will find a clear agenda with all activities that apply to your child(ren). You will receive a notification when a new activity is added or when something changes. If participation is desired, you can register directly via the app. Activities can also easily be added to your own agenda.
Parent meetings
The school can open a registration moment for parent meetings via Kwieb. You will receive an invitation for this in the app. Within the registration period set by the school, you can then choose an available time slot yourself. As long as the period is still open, you can also adjust or change the chosen time.
Report absence
Is your child sick, does he have a doctor's appointment or are you going on vacation? Via Kwieb you can easily report absence for today or a future date. This saves time and keeps the teacher well informed.
Set up notifications
You can set which notifications you do or do not want to receive. For example, for new messages, photo albums, activities or notifications from school. This way, you only receive notifications that you consider important. You can find these settings in the app under Your profile > Settings > Notifications. Here you can easily indicate how you want to be kept informed: via push notifications, email or not at all.
Set privacy
You also determine what you share in terms of privacy. For each child, you can set whether a profile photo is visible, whether your contact details are visible to other parents and what is shared with the school. You set these privacy preferences under Your profile > Settings > Privacy . This way, you always have control over your own data and that of your child.
Receive (emergency) notifications
Sometimes it is important that you receive a notification from school immediately, for example if the children are out early or if there is a change in the timetable. The school can send a notification via Kwieb that appears directly on your phone.
