Set up Multi Factor Authentication

If you want to use extra security for your data with Office 365, we recommend that you start using TFA (Two Factor Authentication). When you log in to Microsoft, you will be prompted for a second verification step to check if you really have access! For example by sending an SMS to your phone and entering this code as an extra check step.

We recommend this because more and more of your data ends up in the Microsoft Office 365 cloud. This prevents an unauthorized person from being able to access your data (via a browser, for example) without you noticing.

Does TFA also work with, for example, my mail program on the MAC?

Yes. For programs that do not support TFA, you can create your own passwords that are allowed to use this program. You can set this up via: https://aka.ms/MFASetup
