The Gnap app is used by the school team and notifications keep you informed about important events . For example, if your duo sends a message to the parents of your group, you can receive a notification. But also, for example, if a parent responds to a message that you have posted to Kwieb.
When you use Gnap, you decide for which events you will or will not receive a notification (see also Notification settings ). You can also choose to use the Do Not Disturb feature that can temporarily turn off all notifications for you, also on a schedule basis.
We distinguish 4 different types of notifications
There are 4 different types of notifications that a teacher can receive in Gnap and a parent in Kwieb. Those are:
- the app notification
- badge notification
- push notification
- email notification.
You can read this article for a description of what makes which notification.
Emergency notification
Finally, there is the so-called 'Emergency Report'. An emergency notification is an app notification + push notification + email notification in Kwieb that you can send to parents from Gnap. This cannot be 'turned off' by the parents. You can send this emergency notification from Gnap, for example when parents need to be reached at the last minute with a short announcement.

Check out this article so that you as a teacher know when notifications are sent to parents. This way you can influence that parents are aware of your messages.
