When a parent responds to your message or your duo publishes a message to your group, it is useful that you receive a notification so that you know that something is happening in Gnap. This makes it easy to keep up to date with everything that has happened since the last time you opened Gnap. Since there are different types of notifications, this article will explain more about them.
We distinguish 4 different types of notifications in Gnap
The different notifications are described below so you know what they do for you!
1. Notification (or app notification)
These are notifications that you will find in the Gnap app under the 'Notifications' section. You can find the recent notifications on your Gnap Dashboard (the home screen) or the complete history by pressing your profile image in the top right of Gnap and then choosing Show all notifications . When you press the notification you get more info (it opens) and when you tap the preview icon on the right (the arrow from the block), you go to the related item that is attached to the notification (for example a message, activity or absence):
Are you active at multiple schools? Then you can also filter the notification history based on a school you selected. Select the school at the top of this screen and the notifications will be filtered.
2. Badge notification
When you have unread app notifications in the Gnap app, a red dot will appear next to the Gnap icon on your phone, so that you know that there is something new to see in Gnap.
3. Push Notification
Optionally, you can set an app notification to also be sent to your phone as a push notification. This way you are actively informed about new notifications.

4. Email notification
