Why do I need to create a Stripe account?

The Ziber Platform uses the Stripe payment platform for handling financial transactions. A Stripe account is therefore required to be able to use the Ziber Pay functions (such as, for example; payment links, Kwieb payment requests, ticket sales during activities). You will have to create this Stripe account via Ziber Team. This article gives you tips about the process of creating a Stripe account.

Why do I have to enter so much information when creating a Stripe account?

Stripe is classified as a financial institution and is therefore controlled by De Nederlandse Bank (and other international controlling institutions). Stripe is therefore obliged to map out exactly who owns the cash flows that come into the accounts at Stripe. That is why Stripe will request a lot of information about you and your organization when you create your account.

I am a school/child centre, what should I choose at Stripe?

In case you are not creating a Stripe account on behalf of an individual or sole proprietorship, choose a company account .

Can I create a Stripe account as a school if I am part of a foundation?

If the competent authority of your school is with the foundation, you will have to create the Stripe account on behalf of the driver. Ultimately, the foundation bears ultimate responsibility for these cash flows. The director of your foundation can create the Stripe account for you via Ziber Team, or you can have your director sign an authorization so that you can create the Stripe account. Once I have completed the Stripe creation process, is it ready?

Stripe will check the data you provide on an automated basis as much as possible. When everything has been approved, your Stripe account is active. However, it is possible that Stripe may ask for additional information, such as a scan of your ID or passport or, for example, an extract from the Chamber of Commerce.

How long does it take before I can use Ziber Pay?

In principle, you can use the Ziber Pay functionalities on the Ziber Platform immediately after successfully creating a Stripe account. However, Stripe may first request additional information in order to successfully complete the Stripe pairing process.
