Swap a childcare day for another day in Kwieb

Does a regular childcare day not suit you this time? Swap it for another day in Kwieb. Your child then goes to childcare on the new day, at the same times as on the day you give up. It takes about a minute.

Before you start

• You can only swap a day on which your child has childcare. On a day without care, Kwieb finds nothing to swap.
• The day you give up can be today or in the future, up to a year ahead. You can't swap a day in the past.
• The new day is after today and not before the day you give up. It falls within a year after the day you give up.

• Can't come at all? Then report your child absent. Read Report your child absent from childcare.

Swap a day step by step

You can start the swap in two ways:

• Tap the green + button at the bottom of Kwieb, choose Request childcare and tap Swap a day.
• Or open the Agenda, tap the childcare session you want to swap and choose Request a swap. Kwieb then fills in the child and the day for you.

Then:

1. Choose which child. If you have one child with childcare, they are already selected. If you have more, tick the children you want to swap for.
2. Choose the day you want to swap. Tap the date field and pick the childcare day you give up. If your child has no childcare that day, you see a message and you can choose another day.
3. Choose which part you want to swap. If your child has more than one childcare session that day, for example morning and afternoon, choose which part you give up. If there is only one part, Kwieb skips this step.
4. Choose the new day. Tap the second date field and pick the day your child goes instead.
5. Check the summary. Below the dates you see Your swap: with two lines, From (the day you give up) and To (the new day), including the times.
6. Add a remark if you like. This field is optional.
7. Tap Submit request. Kwieb confirms that your request has been sent and opens the Requests overview.

What happens after you submit?

Your swap appears in the Requests overview as Swap, with the text "from [date] to [date]". The status starts as Pending. The childcare organisation reviews the request. After that the status is Approved, On waiting list or Rejected.

Can't swap after all, or no longer needed? Tap Cancel request on the request. You can do this while the status is Pending or On waiting list. You can read more in View childcare requests.

Good to know

• Several children at once: the chosen days apply to all chosen children. Want different days for each child, or do the children have different care times that day? Submit separate requests.
• Warnings when you pick a date: if a warning appears at a date, it tells you why that date doesn't work. For example, because the new day is before the old day. Choose another date.
• Missing something? If you tap Submit request while something is still missing, Kwieb shows what you still need.
